Love and kindness are in the air and highly contagious this month at Legacy at Parklands. Not only will we be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Wednesday February 14th, but all week long starting Monday, February 12th through Friday, February 16th we will be spreading joy by participating in National Random Acts of Kindness week.

Today we spent time making homemade butter with whipping cream, salt and a mason jar; it took 30 minutes, muscles and a lot of laughter for the butter to churn in the jar. For some of us, it was the our very first time making homemade butter!
Beat the winter blues and come have some fun at Legacy at Parklands! In January we will be traveling, laughing and celebrating each day through various events.
Sweets with Santa was a huge success, we hosted over 15 children ranging in age from 5 months to 10 years old. Santa was a busy guy handing out presents, taking pictures, and taking requests for Christmas. Even Legacy at Parklands staff got involved and spread some holiday spirit.
This month we highlighted the importance of a hard work ethic, dedication and passion at our very first job fair. This event was unlike any other; we were not posting jobs, instead we were boasting about previous forms of employment. From domestic goddess to electrical engineer everyone had something to share and be proud of!
Tis’ the season to be jolly! Every week we will offer a multitude of events that celebrate the holiday season, please come and spread some cheer!

Legacy at Parklands is a wonderful place to spend the holidays. Our November calendar offers plenty of events focused on love, family and lots of laughter!
This year marked the first time Legacy at Parklands hosted a safe trick-or-treating event and it was a great success! The local Daisy Troop #64170 and some family members walked the halls as we handed out candy; there were princesses and ghouls alike!
Today residents of Legacy at Parklands graduated from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Senior Academy.
